Dustin has been improving. He was sitting up and bed, and though he can't talk yet, he has been communicating what he needs
by writing. This is the first note he wrote when he woke up.

If you can't read that, it says "Dustin" "Wants" "A Drink". He has done a lot more communicating since then, but knows
that this is a battle he can and will win.
1/26 Dustin was talking a little bit today, but the whole experience is still very draining. At the moment he is off
of the life support respirator, but may go back on it if he has surgery or begins backtracking (knock on wood). Improvement
has been phenomenal, however, and we may expect him to start taking even bigger leaps and bounds if he continues progressing.
He is still having trouble staying awake since he is heavily medicated, but one step at a time, and we will reach our overall
goal. He said he is grateful for how many people have supported him throughout this entire ordeal whether they were able to
visit him or not. It is still undecided if and when he will have sugery and when he may be released. Thank you and continue
praying, he is still a sick young man!

Dustin was moved out of Intensive Care today and is recovering faster than anyone expected. Things are going so well that
he may be released to his house as soon as monday. He will not be very active when released because he is still a very sick
kid, and also will still need IV medicine to keep him well. A major thing that is moving things quickly is tht surgery looks
like it will not be necesary. Keep him in ur prayers still, but be happy... things are going great!

Dustin is home right now, and is doing great! He still receives IV drugs and his recovery will most likely not be over until
July. He is so glad to be home and has mentioned how grateful he is that so many people have looked out for him! Thanks to
all who prayed and kept faith alive!
